I saw what looks like a Challenger Hellcat, although I’m sure I wouldn’t know a fake if I saw it, having never seen one in person.
I can only hope that this person was at the adjacent natural foods store buying something like Certified Fair Trade Organic Gluten-Free green tea. Maybe even two boxes of tea. To bring home in a giant smoky burnout.
Or just as likely they’re at the dive-y pizza joint having a whole large pizza and a $4.99 pitcher of Bud for lunch. Followed by smoky burnouts.
If this IS a hellcat, I really like the black color with those wheels, and the totally understated badging. In this color, most people wouldn’t know it from a rental-spec - hell most people would look at it and not know it from a Charger or maybe even a Mustang, because most people don’t care.
I would have liked to hear this thing start up and go down the street.
Also, the vanity plate gives a big middle finger to every smug Prius driver. Presumably you can’t see the plate anyway most of the time the car is under power, due to the constant burnouts.

Supercharger whine is the best give away since you can buy the Hellcat hood from Mopar now.

There’s a hellcat Charger in town that has some work done including a very loud intake. The supercharger whine from that beast is glorious.

They’re apparently pretty popular cars, with at least 20,000 of just the Challengers in the wild.

Oh yeah I remember reading about that detail! Should have snapped a pic of the front, I was thinking, “nothing up here that’s different” haha. But then, the hood was also not the same as a normal Challenger. Should have taken more pics obviously!

Actually here’s something you should know about that. All 16' up Challengers can easily remove those faux lights. Ask me how I know :P

It’s amazing they sell that many. I think they’re cool looking, but I’d never buy one, nor would anyone I know. Doesn’t mean I don’t think they’re interesting.

Surprised the hell out of me when I saw the numbers too. And the only reason I know that is because somebody tried saying a Demon wasn’t limited production at 3,000 because a Golf R only sold 4,500. So I looked it up and apparently people like Hellcats better than Golf Rs. I love knowing that there are so many 700 HP v8's out there.
